AIR/WATER HEAT PUMP
OCHSNER AIR MILAN
The AIR MILAN significantly reduces your heating costs – with the natural refrigerant R290 and durable quality. Whether new construction or renovation, low-temperature heating or radiators. Also as a bivalent supplement to your existing heating system. The AIR MILAN adapts to your situation.

* The natural refrigerant R290 used has a minimal GWP (Global Warming Potential) of less than 1.

Heat Pump with Low Noise Emission
The outdoor monoblock heat pump operates at a low sound pressure level of 41.1 dB(A) at a distance of three meters (Model AIR MILAN 1016). With lower power requirements, the sound pressure level decreases further.

Compact Monoblock with Safety Box
In the OCHSNER AIR MILAN, the entire refrigeration circuit is housed in a compact unit for outdoor installation. The safety box mounted on the heat pump, equipped with a gas detector, gas bubble separator, thermal frost protection valve, solenoid valve, backflow prevention, and other safety mechanisms, ensures maximum protection when using R290. The connection to the heating system in the house is made via water-carrying pipes.

High-End Electronics and App
The OCHSNER AIR MILAN models are equipped with the advanced control system OCHSNER TRONIC SMART (OTS). It allows user-friendly and versatile control and monitoring via the user-friendly new OCHSNER Smart App, independent of location via the internet.

Infinitely Variable Power Adjustment
The series operates fully modulating and adjusts its output to the current heat demand. This minimizes switching cycles and frequency, allowing the heat pump to run almost continuously during the winter season. This increases the lifespan. Additionally, in the case of the modulating heat pump, the heating buffer storage may be omitted in some cases.

Heating, Hot Water & Cooling
In addition to the main applications of heating and hot water, the AIR MILAN models can also be used for active air conditioning via underfloor heating. Only the activation of this function is required during commissioning.
Frequently Asked Questions about the OCHSNER AIR MILAN
Yes, the AIR MILAN is a monoblock heat pump. The entire refrigeration circuit, including the compressor, is housed in a compact unit for outdoor installation. The connection to the heating system in the house is made via water-carrying pipes. This completely eliminates the need for a refrigerant line into the building.
Because R290 is a flammable refrigerant, OCHSNER supplies all AIR MILAN units as standard with the OCHSNER Safety Box. It contains a gas detector, gas bubble separator, thermal frost protection valve, solenoid valve, and backflow prevention, ensuring maximum protection during operation.
R290 (propane) is a natural refrigerant with a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of well below 1 – making it nearly climate-neutral. It is completely free of halogenated substances and is not subject to restrictions under the EU F-Gas Regulation.
The AIR MILAN delivers flow temperatures of up to 70 °C. This makes it suitable for underfloor heating as well as for traditional radiators – both in new buildings and in the energy-efficient renovation of single-family homes.
The AIR MILAN achieves a SCOP of up to 4.9 in heating mode and a SEER of 4.8 in cooling mode – strong values in the competitive environment of this device class. All models carry the energy efficiency class A+++.
Yes. All AIR MILAN models can be used for active air conditioning via underfloor heating. The activation of this function takes place during commissioning and does not require any structural additional measures.
Depending on the requirements, three variants are available: The Control Module includes a controller, operating unit, and circulation pump along with a system pressure sensor. The Hydro Module combines a controller, operating unit, and all essential hydraulic components. The Multi Tower is the complete solution with control, 100-liter buffer storage, 168-liter hot water storage, and complete hydraulics.
All models are equipped with the OCHSNER TRONIC SMART (OTS) and can be controlled independently of location via the OCHSNER Smart App. SG-Ready is integrated as standard and allows for the automatic use of PV surpluses or cheap grid electricity.
