Top technology: The OCHSNER table evaporator
The OCHSNER table evaporator technology with horizontally mounted fans and fin packages (V-shaped fin package in Air Hawk 1850) ensures the highest efficiency with generously sized heat exchanger surfaces and minimal power consumption. The fans draw air from below and blow it out upwards. Therefore, the outdoor units of the heat pump can also be installed with minimal distance to the building.
Powerful in new and old buildings
All OCHSNER AIR HAWK models achieve high flow temperatures of 65 °C*. They are suitable for new buildings with underfloor heating as well as for old buildings with radiators. The series covers a performance range from 4 to 51 kW. This provides tailored solutions for many applications, from single and two-family homes to residential construction projects and commercial or office properties. By cascading larger systems, even very high performance requirements of well over 200 kW can be met.

Designed for maximum flexibility and lifespan
Fully modulating: All models of the OCHSNER AIR HAWK series continuously adjust the performance of the fans and the compressor to the current heat demand. This means that in many cases, a heating buffer storage can be dispensed with, reducing investment costs and eliminating storage losses. In addition, the heat pumps operate almost continuously during the winter season due to the modulating operation. Switching cycles are minimized, and the lifespan and reliability of the devices equipped with the highest quality compressors are maximized.
User-friendly high-end app
All OCHSNER AIR HAWK models are equipped with the advanced control OCHSNER TRONIC SMART (OTS). It allows for heating control via the OCHSNER Smart App independent of location over the internet. The operation of the heat pump system via the app is intuitive, user-friendly, and versatile. The interface is designed in a modern look and feel. The app offers a variety of service functions, from statistical overviews to error warnings to direct customer service contact.
Integration into smart home systems as well as complex building management technology is also possible. Intelligent heat regulation or automatic use of PV surpluses can reduce energy costs.
Versatile for heating, cooling, and dehumidifying
The entire AIR HAWK model range is equipped with additional features for active climate control via underfloor and other surface heating systems. The models AIR HAWK 518, 616, 726, and 1850, designed for larger outputs, also offer the possibility of cooling and dehumidifying indoor air via fan coils.

Frequently asked questions about the OCHSNER AIR HAWK
The series covers a performance range from 4 to 51 kW with five models – suitable for single-family homes as well as multi-family homes and commercial properties. By cascading the larger models, performance requirements of well over 200 kW can be met. All models achieve flow temperatures of up to 65 °C, making them suitable for both new buildings with underfloor heating and existing buildings with radiators.
The OCHSNER table evaporator with horizontally mounted fans draws air from below and blows it upwards – allowing the outdoor unit to be installed even with a small distance from the building. Demand-controlled fan speeds and aerodynamically optimized fans further minimize sound emissions. The AIR HAWK 208 holds the OCHSNER sound record in the Swiss heat pump test center with 28 dB(A) at 3 m. In Silent Mode, the values decrease even further. This allows compliance with legal noise protection distances even in densely populated residential areas.
In many cases, no. All models operate fully modulating: compressor and fan performance are continuously adjusted to the current heat demand. This allows the system to run almost continuously during the winter season, minimizing switching cycles. Therefore, a buffer storage tank can often be omitted – reducing investment costs and eliminating storage losses.
Yes. The entire series supports active surface cooling. The models AIR HAWK 518, 616, 726, and 1850 additionally enable active air conditioning and dehumidification through fan coils.
All models are equipped with the OCHSNER TRONIC SMART (OTS). The system can be controlled independently of location via the OCHSNER Smart App. Integration into smart home systems and complex building management technology is also possible. Through SG-Ready and automatic PV surplus utilization, energy costs can be further reduced.
