GEOTHERMAL - Brine

This system captures geothermal energy through a brine circuit and directs it to the heat pump. Brine ground collectors can be installed in several ways: If there is sufficient garden space, flat collectors are the most cost-effective solution. The installation area depends on the construction type and thermal insulation of the house or the soil conditions. As an alternative, spiral trench collectors or ring trench collectors can be used, which require slightly less space. Ground probes can also be installed in the ground through deep drilling. These are usually executed with a depth of 100 meters each and are ideal for limited space. A water law permit is required in many places.

Passive cooling: A heat exchanger is used to dissipate room heat. Additionally, the low temperatures in the depths of the soil are utilized for the cooling effect. In passive cooling, the heat pump itself is not in operation. Only the control and the circulation pump are running. The cooling effect is less than that of active cooling with a heat pump.
