The energy performance certificate has gradually been introduced to safeguard the energy supply for the EU member states and, at the same time, contribute to meeting the Kyoto targets. The obligation to have an energy performance certificate issued now also applies across the board to single-occupancy homes. Especially when it comes to selling a property, an energy-saving heat pump heating system means a noticeable increase in its value. Irrespective of that, it also means that you are providing your own security of supply: ambient heat from the ground, air and water is permanently on your doorstep as stored solar energy and can be used at any time.
